Hello there! We are so glad you are here. Jonah is about to start his 4th year at the Little Light House and we could not be more thrilled. We have been beyond blessed by the Little Light House and feel so lucky to have been given four full years at this incredible school. As many of you know, we put Jonah on the waiting list for the Little Light House when we received his prenatal diagnosis of Down syndrome, at about 20 weeks gestation. We had no idea at the time what the future looked like for us, for Jonah or for our family but a friend encouraged us to take a tour and get on the list. It's probably the best decision we have ever made. Jonah was on the waiting list for just about 2 1/2 years - he started in August 2016, just a few months after he turned 2. The LLH is an amazing tuition-free Christian developmental center for children with special needs. That's right - we don't pay a dime for Jonah to attend this school. They have run solely on corporate and private donations since 1972 and don't accept any funding from United Way or the government. Isn't that amazing? To think that the Tulsa community has supported our school for decades is truly inspiring. This is where you come in - we would LOVE YOUR help! Like I mentioned, our school is tuition-free. If we did pay tuition, it is estimated that it would cost us about $32,000 per year for the highly trained special education teachers and therapists on staff. But, thanks to the support of our friends and family, we get to attend FREE. Will you please consider supporting Jonah in his final year at Little Light House? He will start in Orange Class (formerly Purple) in August and this class is known for pre-kindergarten preparedness. He is going to learn SO much in the coming year and we have no doubt that he will be completely ready to start Kindergarten at Bixby North in the fall of 2020. Any amount is appreciated.
