Hey everybody, Did you know that last year was my first year at The Little Light House? I didn't know what to think when I first came inside. Everyone was there to greet me. They smiled at me and were so excited I was there. My teachers, therapists and class helpers were happy to see me too! They are happy to see me every day! I have learned so much at school this last year. I have worked on all the basics: numbers, letters, shapes, colors, and animals. But I have also learned about music, being a good friend, trying new foods, working hard, and most importantly...how much Jesus loves me! There are so many kids that want to come to school at my Little Light House that there is a waiting list. My mom says I was on the waiting list for almost 3 years. Besides that, it costs a lot to get all the things we need for my school. Most of us need special equipment to help us learn and get around. She says it costs $32,000 for each of us that come to my school. She also says my Little Light House doesn't get money from the government and that none of the moms and dads have to pay for us to go to school. All funds for my school to operate come from donations from individuals and businesses like you. I don't really know what all that means but I do know I love my Little Light House. I don't have any money to give to my school, I'm too little for money right now. My dad and sisters get to run in "Laps for Little Ones", a race that helps raise money for my school. (You can run in it too if you want). Since I am still so little I get to participate in my own special race called "Mini-Laps". I get to go around a track at school. All my family and friends will be there to cheer me on. Some of my friends walk, ride in their wheelchair, ride in a wagon, run, or even ride a bike. It is so much fun. I hope you will come watch me on October 12! I need people to sponsor me when I make my lap so that I can help my school out. Would you make a donation to me for my lap?
