A Message From Ally Patterson

Howdy friends and family! My name is Ally Patterson! I would like to tell you quickly a little bit about what brought me here, how incredible it is, and why if you're able, I would highly encourage you to consider donating to the Little Light House! Over a year ago, working at Little Light House wasn't even on my radar but I want to believe that it was on God's. Fresh out of high school I didn't quite know what I wanted to do for school, I just wanted to stay in the Tulsa area because, to me, moving away for school was out of the question. I got plugged into Little Light House during the fall semester of my freshman year of college by volunteering for a few hours at the end of the week. I was falling in love with this place and heavily considering making my major, Special Education, to even have the possibility of working at a place like this one day. This is where I can see God's hand at work! March of 2025, I was blessed to join the staff at Little Light House! My position is a Floating Classroom Associate. This position is much more than a job. It has allowed me to be placed in the classroom where I daily get to interact and love on our students, often getting to see first hand, the miracles, the wins of our students, and so much more. If you didn't know, the Little Light House is entirely TUTITION FREE. Our students can attend school and learn in a nurturing environment while receiving services such as Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy all for FREE. "Helping Kids be Kids" is one of the many phrases that we say within our doors where we provide opportunities for the kids to reach their full potential all while being a kid, not letting their diagnosis be the defining factor of who they are for every one of them is deeply loved, valued, and cared for. I could go on and on about what an incredible place this is and why I love it so much! If you are able to donate, I just want to encourage you that every donation, no matter how big or how small, has an impact allowing us to continue to provide services TUITION FREE. Thank you! ♥️

In Support of Little Light House

Little Light House is a Christian Developmental Center for Children with Special Needs from birth to 6 years old. Little Light House is internationally recognized as providing some of the most individualized special education and therapeutic early intervention services in the world. A trans-disciplinary team approach maximizes a comprehensive knowledge from professionals who work collaboratively to design prescriptive programs for each child and assist every child in reaching their maximum potential. Through a variety of programs and schedules, these services are carried out by highly credentialed teachers, therapists, and specialists who represent decades of pediatric experience. Early Intervention classes are provided as a part-time program where caregivers attend and learn along with their child for two-hour classes once a week.

Little Light House is tuition-free for families and does not receive United Way funding. Support comes from individuals, organizations, corporations, and foundations. In addition, LLH hosts four annual fundraisers each year bringing in about 40% of the $4.2 million dollar operating cost that allows our staff of over 90 members to provide services to over 300 children and families, support nearly a thousand volunteers, and train over 1,000 college and career students each year.

Little Light House believes that all children are a gift from God with the potential to achieve specific milestones to advance their quality of life. We strive for excellence by utilizing a Bible-based curriculum in a fun and loving atmosphere. We believe in an individualized, trans-disciplinary and God-centered approach to education-an approach that joins parents, professionals, and the Holy Spirit as partners in order to nurture the spirit, mind, and body of the children and their families. Our commitment incorporates being called to work/volunteer with children with special needs. Little Light House encourages a positive outlook on the future, based on trust in a loving heavenly Father.
