A Message From Debora Schaberg
Thank YOU for visiting to learn more about my LOVE for the Little Light House!
It was love at first sight! Six years ago I discovered the amazing work The Little Light House does for kids with special needs, from birth to age six! From the first time I visited the school I knew I had to be part of it, there was a reason why I crossed paths with this school. Their mission is to glorify God by improving the quality of life for children with special needs, their families and their communities. The LLH has been a part of Tulsa since October 3, 1972. What began with one teacher, five students, and five volunteers has grown into a nationally recognized developmental center for children with special needs. Currently, they have over 60 staff members serving 152 students, along with many volunteers. Currently, they still have 200 kids on the “Waiting List”. The LLH does not charge tuition and only receives money from private sources. Conditions which typically create challenges are Down syndrome, Spina Bifida, Cerebral Palsy, Autism and sensory deprivations such as blindness. The LLH does not and has never discriminated with regard to religion, race, color or creed. Please join me in helping me raise funds as I participate in the 41th annual "Laps for Little Ones" on September 14th.
This will be my six year to run in Laps for Little Ones, one of their four major fundraisers for the year. This wonderful school has a special place in our hearts and hope you will sponsor me again this year so I can exceed my fundraising goal once again. If you are able and willing to donate, any amount is appreciated and will be put to good use. That much I can promise. I have never seen an organization be such good stewards of the funds that is given to them. Remember... each of the 152 children attend LLH for FREE! Yes, FREE!!! The services that help these children amounts to about $32,000 per child per year!
Thank you in advance for your contribution to this amazing school.
